About the company

Staedtler is headquartered in Nuremberg, Germany. Their first factory to make pencils was established in 1835, but the city records reference Friedrich Staedtler as a pencil-making craftsman as early as 1662.

Karat Aquarell pencils are water-soluble, and come in 60 colors. Like Faber-Castells, they have a break resistant core, which is 3 mm in diameter.

Staedtler Ergosoft Colored Pencils come in sets and are available in 24 colors. They have a soft grip that is ergometric.
