We were formerly known as Colored Pencil Studio. And we provided free advertising, and free everything else! But after years of paying for the server, software, not to mention paper and pencils to try out, we had to make a change in order to put the site back up. So we are trying to offer you our beautifully colored color charts to help you in your artistic efforts. For less than a cup of coffee, you can have a chart that has already been colored, something that takes us several days!
We will be adding to our Chart Shop as we get new charts finished. We have a variety of charts available. Color charts are a great way to find exactly the right color for your painting. They are expecially usefully when you use large sets of pencils, or more than one brand. Our pdf downloads are great to look at on your computer or tablet. You can print out a reference for your studio as well.
You can select to buy a pdf download file of charts that are already colored in for you. For example, the Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils, that show samples that were hand-colored on Stonehenge paper. Or Water-Soluble examples, like the Caran d'Ache Supracolor charts. Each of these charts take us days to complete.
We also have blank charts for specific Brands. If you want to download and color in your own Faber-Castell Polychromos for example, you can do so. The pencil names, color numbers, and manufactures lightfast ratings are already filled in. We have made an effort to put them in a reasonable color order. After you have paid with paypal, you will get an email with a link to your downloads.
If you are coloring your own charts, we found that Stonehenge or watercolor paper must be cut down to the printer by hand. It then will feed best through the printer if you print out 1 page at a time. 90 pound watercolor paper feeds better than Stonehenge, which is a bit heavier.
Please respect the work that we put into these, and the fact that we are trying to provide them to you at a low cost by NOT distributing them to your friends. For the price of a cup of Starbucks, they can get their own charts. Thanks for your help with this!
Linda is the chief pencil-head. She has been collecting pencils for way too long! But first used them way back as a scientist.
Cali is the office manager, and is in charge of everything! Especially things that involve being jumped on, or laid upon.
Mocha, when he is not begging for extra snacks, is in charge of the world wide web, and searching. He searches for tortillias rather a lot.
Sunshine is in charge of product testing. She has dreams of being a velocoraptor, and it is difficult for a pencil to pass her demanding chew test!
